The F115 has been redesigned, receiving a state-of -the-art air intake and fuel injection system. With added technology and its proven DOHC four-cylinder 16-valve 1741cc engine the efficient F115 makes for the best choice to power your boat for years to come. Yamaha's 1.8-liter F115 Jet Drive four stroke produces 80hp at the pump. Its compact, light-weight DOHC design features 16-valves with four valves per cylinder and long tube intake tracks. This produces ample power for deck boats and deep-V hulls navigating shallow, rocky rivers.
With its advanced 16-valve, four-valve-per cylinder, Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) design and large 1.8 Litre displacement, the F75 delivers the ultimate combination of unbridled power and refined performance for the mid-range outboard market. The F75’s lightweight powerhead configuration, refined shaping of the combustion chamber and lean fuel burn technology, means this outboard is extremely fuel efficient, while also delivering an exceptionally smooth and quiet riding experience. This outboard is compatible with Yamaha’s comprehensive range of Command Link gauges and NMEA2000 compliant, meaning you can share engine information with third party multi-function displays, GPS and fish finder systems.
Horsepower-per-litre: An advanced powerhead design features a single overhead camshaft (SOHC), yet with four valves per cylinder, for maximum power and efficiency. Total intake valve area is increased 17%, while the pistons and valves are up to 10% lighter (when compared to our T60 model), giving it substantially more horsepower-per-litre of engine displacement than competitive outboards, both four stroke and two stroke direct-injected. Lightest weight in class: From the specially designed engine block to the two-piece upper case, every ounce of weight savings has been realized for maximum performance without sacrificing durability. Yamaha's new F70 is not only the lightest four stroke 70 horsepower outboard, it's even lighter than competitive two stroke direct-injected outboards.

At the same time, this double- overhead cam (DOHC) four-cylinder design gets larger intake and exhaust valves for easier breathing, more power and better midrange torque. Complementing the new valves and cylinder head is a new 60-mm single throttle body with Yamaha's long intake track system, and a new free-flow exhaust manifold. Compression ratio is increased, and so is the full-throttle rpm range: 5,300 to 6,300. A knock sensor, an unexpected feature in this class of outboard, allows the engine to operate constantly at peak output.
