Electric outboard motors are self contained propulsory units for boats, first invented in 1973 by Morton Ray of Ray Electric Outboards. These are not to be confused with trolling motors, which are not designed as a primary source of power.
A Mercury Authorized Dealer will work with you to outfit your boat with the battery capacity you need. You can choose to connect the 20e tiller model directly to one 2300Wh battery for peak simplicity and portability. Outboards with remote controls and the 35e model require an Avator Power Center and at least two batteries. The Power Center allows you to further extend your range and runtime with either outboard model by connecting up to four batteries.Modular batteries and multiple controls, displays and chargers make it easy to optimize your Avator 20e or 35e propulsion system for wherever your imagination leads you.

Gateway TQ-Bus/TQ-Can and On/Off Switch for Power 48-5000
At the start of production for the Power 48-5000, Cruise 4.0 and 10.0 motors will be compatible with the new battery
Power 48-5000 can be operated and switched on and off with the switch included in the scope of delivery of the new throttles part no. 1949-00,1950-00, 1951-00 and 1952-00. The gateway is also included in the scope of delivery of the new throttles
A separate Gateway including the On/Off-Switch (part no. 2217-00) is required, if Power 48-5000 is used with standard Cruise models TQ-Bus and their standard tillers and throttles
A separate On/Off-Switch (part no. 2215-00) is required, if Power 48-5000 is used with non Torqeedo consumers

Power 48-5000 can be operated and switched on and off with the switch included in the scope of delivery of the new throttles part no. 1949-00,1950-00, 1951-00 and 1952-00. The gateway is also included in the scope of delivery of the new throttles
A separate Gateway including the On/Off-Switch (part no. 2217-00) is required, if Power 48-5000 is used with standard Cruise models TQ-Bus and their standard tillers and throttles
